Study of the functional possibilities of the three-element wave channel antenna
Abstract
In the article, a complex of studies was carried out, as a result of which it was established that the three-element antenna wave channel is a universal antenna that can be used to meet various requirements for the coverage area and the amplification factor. In its standard version, is a directional antenna with a directional pattern in the form of a sector. The antenna consists of an active vibrator, a reflector and a director. The active vibrator is a symmetrical loop emitter that provides lightning protection for the antenna. The reflector and director are passive vibrators that increase the gain of the antenna. By elementary modernization, the active vibrator can be used as an independent antenna. At the same time, the directional pattern of the antenna will be quasi-directional. Based on experimental measurements, it was established that the width of the directional diagram in the azimuthal plane can be reduced by placing the active vibrator above the cylindrical mast at a distance of approximately λ/4 or λ/8. Based on the conducted research, the following recommendations are offered regarding the use of as a trunking repeater antenna: To ensure a wide area of coverage, you should use with vertical polarization in standard version. To ensure a narrow coverage area, you should use an active vibrator as an independent antenna with a quasi-directional pattern. With horizontal polarization should be used to increase the intelligence protection of the trunking communication system.
