Ways for changing shear rates in hydrodynamic devices for measuring rheological parameters of non-Newtonian fluids

Abstract

The paper proposes the principle of constructing hydrodynamic devices for continuous measurement of rheological parameters of viscoplastic and pseudoplastic fluids, which is based on creating shear deformation at different speeds in sensitive elements. Several diagrams of hydrodynamic measuring devices have been developed, in which various ways of changing the fluid shear rate have been implemented. The transform functions of the proposed hydrodynamic devices are obtained based on the flow characteristics of the throttle elements and the type of their connection in the diagrams.
